Audrey and her very first printed copy of I Wonder...Kindy

Hi! My name is Kaylene Pettit and I have created a go fund me account for the sole purpose of donating a copy of I Wonder...Kindy to every Kindergarten & Daycare in Australia, starting with our home state Queensland. I Wonder...Kindy is a story about the fun and adventure of the first day of Kindy and all the Wonder of the day. I Wonder...Kindy is my 4 yr old daughter Audrey's, story about her first day at kindy, as told by her. I Wonder... Kindy was typed, edited and self-published by me, but the story is central to Audrey's creative & storytelling mind. I have tried to articulate the excitement and wonder of Audrey's adventure into school and hope I have done the story and the wonderful teachers justice. This book is dedicated to the amazing teachers at C&K Gympie South Community Kindergarten, Queensland After having readers read I Wonder to their children, or to their new kindy class, teachers and parents began to see the way Audrey's story has made children feel more comfortable in a new and sometimes scary environment. I have been told more than once since releasing Audrey's story that it should be read to all children heading off into the world of schooling and teaching them that it may be a little scary and new but it can be fun and filled with friends and adventure too! I would love to donate a copy to every school in Australia and hope that you all would love to help me do that. A single copy of I WONDER...Kindy currently costs $12.58 + postage. I would round that up to approximately $15.00 per book including postage for us to be ordering in. We would then post out a copy at a cost of $5 per book for packaging & handling, to as many kindergartens as we could. So each book would end up costing $20 each delivered. I would like to add, that as I am essentially the author of the book, I will be ordering as an author and receive no revenue from my personal orders, ie. having stock on hand. I am not out to make money, I simply would like to give back to the teachers and carers that do a wonderful job preparing our little ones for big school.
