Accepting yourself may just be the hardest thing in the world.

I learnt a valuable life lesson today, its okay to love yourself, the way you are.
It all started when I saw a video a friend had shared. It was a just a guy sending a message to all women (but I think its to everyone out there), that your husbands, wives, partners - they love you the way you are and we need to realise it's not a lie!
My husband loves my curves so why shouldn't I?
Every Wednesday we take our daughter for a swimming lesson at the local pool - Grandma is a great teacher. Grandma alwasy wears her cosie, and never wears shorts.
Normally I would have covered up. I always wear boardshorts & a tankini or one-piece swimsuit, I've only ever gone without shorts once in my life. Well today was number 2! If Grandma can be confident enough at almost 70 then why can't I?
I wore my 2 piece bikini, & no coverup & there were people there!
Because I realised something this morning while getting ready, I didn't need to cover up. I'm not overweight, or so pale I'd burn to a crisp in 2 seconds. Yes I have a bit of a baby belly, I have stretch marks on my thighs, I'm not tanned and I'm in no way "skinny". But why do those things matter so much? My husband, the man who loves me and has seen me at my worst, still looks at me like he did the day we met 15 years ago (the this chick is crazy look is still there too!) It made me look at myself in the mirror in a new way.
I want to teach our daughter to love herself, her weird ways, her quirks, her personality & her body. Because I think we all should. Confidence is an amazing trait to have, it gives you motivation, a no fear attitude and just makes you happier in general.
With so much hate in the world at the moment I think it's high time to spread that love, starting with yourself! You just need to ask yourself one question, do you feel loved? Of course you are! Your beautiful!
So love yourselves lovelies & let others see just how amazing you are!
